2022 Akron Marathon
If six months ago you would have told me I would be running a marathon, I would have laughed. But Vince said, “I have a free entry into the #akronmarathon do you want to try and do it?” I had never done anything over a 5k race by myself, but I thought, “What the heck? Anything I run it in will be a PR for me! And no expectations. No pressure.” Well, here we are after all the miles, all the training, all the blood, sweat, and tears. So grateful and thankful for the friends and family that came out and supported me not only yesterday, but all these past months of training. Thank you to all the marathon volunteers as well. And the spectators along the route?! AMAZING!!! They kept me going. Much love✌️
2022 Race With Grace 5K
An amazing race. I always run fast for this one and it turns out I got a PR for 5K at 17:17! I did not even feel like I was running at a PR pace, it felt so good. When I crossed the finish line and knew I ran a PR, I almost cried. Never thought I would be running PR's in my mid-thirties. 👵🏼
